Comece o dia com um embarque bem cedo nos hotéis de Ushuaia e siga à estação ferroviária do "trem do fim do mundo". A estação é o ponto de partida para os trens que seguem a margem sinuosa do rio Pipo que chega ao Parque Nacional da Terra do Fogo. Essa é a mesma rota que o trem da prisão fazia. Aqui, é possível apreciar os troncos de árvore usados que foram testemunhas leais da época em que Ushuaia era uma colônia penal. As carruagens peculiares do início do século passado nos fazem experimentar uma parte da história dessa terra.
Assim que chegarmos à entrada do Parque Nacional da Terra do Fogo, sairemos do trem. Essa área protegida do extremo sul é o único Parque Nacional com litoral. Ela abrange um trecho de 6 km de largura sobre o estreito de Beagle e uma área de 63 mil hectares. A topografia do parque varia muito. Ela é composta por uma série de montanhas escarpadas, rios, vales e lagos, o que resulta em diferentes paisagens que vão desde a pitoresca e ativa correnteza à massa de proeminentes montanhas ou ao espetáculo extraordinário do majestoso estreito de Beagle.
Os mamíferos mais comuns que vivem no parque são raposas e lebres, mas também é possível ver arganazes e castores. Dentre as aves, há gansos de magalhães, tachyeres de cabeça cinza, mergulhões-grandes, black carpenters e pássaros da espécie Aphrastura spinicauda. O parque apresenta aves marinhas exclusivas, como albatrozes, ostraceiros e gansos de magalhães brancos, e mamíferos como focas e lontras.
Alguns dos pontos que você visitará são: a baía de Ensenada, vistas da Ilha Redonda, lago Roca Casita del Bosque, Lagoa Verde e Lagoa Negra, a represa de castores e a baía de Lapataia, que marca o ponto final da rota, que fica a cerca de 3.242 km de Buenos Aires.

First of all, it is a great experience to have, if you are Ushuaia or that part of the world. Not a fancy train for the price but it does tell a story. The view and the natural beauty is unforgettable.

This excursion was amazing!!! From pick up to drop off, we had a great time. The ride in the train was very special and the hicking in the national park very unique.

A great day travelling on the train at the End of the World and through the national park. A very comfortable train ride through interesting scenery and good service on. The train considering all the languages spoken.

As we had been on the national park hike and kayak tour the day before, a lot of the sites were repeated. The organisation was a bit chaotic as one minute we were getting the train first, then plans changed. The guide struggled to keep everyone informed so we spent a lot of time on the bus waiting for stragglers. The guide needs to clearly state the time everyone should be back at the bus, not just say we will be here for 10 minutes That said we enjoyed the train trip, but could probably have hired a taxi to take us to the station and done it ourselves

We were confirmed on our date we chose and the company then emailed to switch us to the next day and confirmed with our hotel without our knowledge at first. Once we explained it was that day or not at all due to a cruise they moved us to a competitor who was running that tour that day, I found that very unprofessional especially after confirmation had been made through Viator and themselves via email at first. The other company was a Spanish speaking tour and we were the only English speakers on board, that was annoying but that company did a very good job and the guide was fantastic and gave us lots of personal info, the local agent though was disappointing with their organisation to confirm and then try and get out of running a low passenger tour.

My husband and I travelled to Ushuaia from our home in Buenos Aires and wanted to see as much as possible in the two days that we would be there. We were staying at the Arakur and were picked up there. We stopped at a couple of other hotels to pick up other travelers. Then off to the train station. The guide was wonderful, speaking Spanish and English. We speak both languages, but I am most comfortable in English. The train station was really fun. It had a tiny, but very busy gift shop. The train ride was delightful, stopping at one location for the passengers to take photos, view the area, and hike up the hill for a better view. There was plenty of information along the way, given in several languages, by the recorded guide. At the end of the train ride, we again boarded our bus for further travel up through the mountains and to a lake. We had time to photograph the lake and the area. We stopped for a time at a park information building where we were able to purchase food, buy gifts in the gift shop, look at a display about the park, and take more photos. We then drove to the end of Route 3 where we were able to hike a little and take more photos. In the end, we were returned to downtown Ushuaia. It was all really fun, and completely worth the cost. The only difficult thing that happened was that several of the tourists were late in returning to the bus at each stop, delaying the trip from continuing, and ultimately cutting short our last stop. The bus driver was amazing, and the guide was very good. I would recommend this trip to everyone.
