Are your main tour interests the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica of St. Peter ? This tour is designed especially for you since in only two hours you will visit, in a semi group tour of only 12 participants, the Sistine Chapel and inside the Basilica of St. Peters’!

Meeting time is 7:20 and you will enter the Vatican museums one hour before the general opening to the public. Once inside, you will go along the Vatican Galleries straight to the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo’s real masterpiece. Enjoy the beautiful view of Last Judgement and Creation of the World: through the help of your professional-friendly and art specialist guide, you will discover the meaning of the paintings inside the Sistine Chapel and what Michelangelo wanted to transmit with his incredible artworks that left people amazed and wordless for the beauty and the energy that comes while watching it.

You will reach the Sistine Chapel walking along the Vatican Galleries: enjoy your free time inside the Sistine Chapel. Through a special door connecting the Sistine Chapel with the Basilica of St. Peter’s, you will be able to access to the magnificent Basilica without standing in line but through a direct access.

Lastly, you will stop to admire St. Peter Basilica, one of the holiest places in the world. Do you know that the actual Basilica was built above St. Peter’s burial place? Bramante, Raphael and Bernini are only some of the artists who played a crucial role on the construction of Vatican Basilica.

During your Tour time you will have also the chance to visit Popes' Tombs, also called Vatican Grottoes. Among them, the most relevant one is of course St. Peter's, located just beneath the altar level. Vatican Grottoes were part of the former St. Peter Basilica, built during Emperor Constantine the Great Era. Visiting this underground level, which is right below the central nave of the Basilica, you will find also Pope John Paul II Tomb as well as many others Popes Tombs located along the gallery.

This tour never runs on Wednesday or Sunday or religious bank holidays.
It can happen that the Basilica of St. Peters’ is not visible due to special Religious functions held by the Cardinals or the Pope, the closing of St. Peter’s can be an unexpected decision take by the Vatican Museums; in this case we will add in the itinerary the Painting gallery or the Raphael Rooms, once the Pope Julius’ II apartment, as an alternative site.
