Glacier Lagoon is a true gem of Iceland, be mesmerized by its floating icebergs and if you will be lucky, you will see seals as well!

Stop At: Diamond Beach, Diamond Head Drive Glacier Lagoon Jokulsarlon, Jokulsarlon Iceland

Most of the time this black sand beach is covered by beautiful icebergs. Amazing photo opportunity for everyone!

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Seljalandsfoss, Hella Iceland

Beautiful waterfall one can walk behind!

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Svinafellsjokull Glacier, Svinafell Iceland

Visit a glacier tongue from up close (but you won't be going on it).

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Hofskirkja Church, Hof Road, Hof Iceland

You will feel like a hobbit when you visit this picturesque turf church!

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Fjadrargljufur Canyon, Route 206 3.5KM off The Ring Road, Kirkjubaejarklaustur Iceland

This is a breath-taking canyon definitely worth the visit!

Our tour guide Gummi, was absolutely the best tour guide I have ever toured with. The sights were awesome and the information he provided along the way taught me more about Iceland in 14 hours than I knew from reading or from a previous trip 7 years ago.

Ian picked us up at 7:30 am and dropped us at our hotel at 11:30 p.m. He willingly gave the group as much time as we agreed that we wanted at the big stops and squeezed in places that were not on the itinerary. It was an unbelievable trip and we learned so much about the formation of the terrain as we rode along. Nothing else we saw in four days compared to the Glacier Lagoon. Such a very different trip from the Golden Circle. Do both if you have time...just plan an easy day after this trip. Hopefully you'll get to travel with Ian!

The galicer lagoon is amazing, it is shame that we do not have enough time to take the boat ride. I wish the tour guide could give us 15mins more so we can go for the boat ride.

We got to see a lot of things, however, the day was very long and mostly driving. If you have the time and don't mind being in the car for about 12 hours of driving, it is a great trip!

The entire trip was wonderful. It was a relatively small group, which we like. Our guide Ronald was the best and knew some additional places to take us to while on the way to the scheduled ones. Perfece timing for everything including lunch and dinner. On the way back he noticed the Northern Lights and gave us the opportunity to take it all in at one stop and then at another where there was a waterfall that was lit at night. Truly spectacular

Service was great with Special Tours. Unfortunately we only saw two whales at a distance and puffins at a distance as well. That's the way nature rolls. It was a good experience and I would recommend it, but don't get upset if that day you can't get up close and personal.
