Sobre esta atividade
This small group, maximum 12 passenger tour, departs from Picton with you guide on an informative and very scenic drive through Picton and Blenheim to Omaka and the wineries of the Marlborough Region.

Your first stop is at the Omaka Aviation Heritage Museum which attracts visitors from around the world to see their impressive collection of early “flying machines” and WW1 and WW2 fighter aircraft. There will be time for some lunch at the museum’s café, if required. (At own expense)

For the wine tour after lunch, you will visit a range of pre-selected wineries from the large, through to the small family-run wineries, where you can taste the zesty Sauvignon Blancs and a wide variety of our other tasty cultivars.

Depending on your cruise ships departure time, you will usually visit 2 – 3 wineries. Visit the barrel rooms to experience the rich aromas of wine maturing in French oak barrels and hear how the grapes are processed into the unique multi-award winning wines for which the valley is so famous.

On the way back to Picton, you will stop at the Chocolate factory to taste their hand made gourmet chocolates. This is a brilliant way to end this exceptional day.

Good exhibition of WW2 planes and had a great wine tour with our guide Mike. Wines excellent and a lively lunch. Mike was extremely knowledgeable about the wines he took us to. Highly recommend.

BEST AIRCRAFT DISPLAY IN THE WORLD. We only had an hour and had to choose between WWI and WWII exhibits. We chose WWI. The displays and the volunteer guide were fantastic! It is a living history museum because it contains so many precious items and stories. I bought the book so I can read about some of the things we missed. Of course the winery tours were good too. The lunch at Giesen Winery was great. Fantastic smoked Green Mussels. Our professional tour guide was great. Some day I would like to visit Wings of Omaka again and spend the day there.

We felt very rushed. We met our tour guide at 8:30 along with another couple from the cruise. There were two vans scheduled for this tour. The other van left basically on time because all of their tourists were on time. Our guide waited for another 30 minutes when two other couples arrived. He then waited for an additional 15 minutes because two more people were scheduled for his van. After waiting for a total of 45 minutes, we took off for our tour. We rushed thru the Wings of Omaka museum and also skipped one of the Marborough wineries.
