Lucius was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable about both parts of the island. I learned a great deal. He answered questions as well as sharing what he planned to discuss. 2 beaches in one day enhanced the trip! The Orient beach was gorgeous! Walking up to fort was worth the view in Marigot! The Maho Beach was great for the planes but intimidating to swim at this time of year. Families as well as solo guests would enjoy this tour! All in all it was a fabulous day!
Our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable.
This was our first time to St Maarten and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour provided by Rick. He was very entertaining while giving the group a great overview of the island. We would have liked a bit more time to walk around Marigot 30 mins flies by quickly and perhaps included a short stop at Philipsburg as well. Nonetheless the price is very reasonable when looking for an alternative to Cruise Ship excursion prices.
Comprehensive tour of St. Maarten! Our guide was Deuce, and everyone seemed to know and love him. We enjoyed holding a variety of sea creatures and feeding and petting iguanas. We had about an hour to swim and relax at Orient Beach. Standing under the approaching planes at Maho Beach was amazing!
We enjoyed the tour but the stop at Lucas Bay was quite short. Watching the planes land at the airport was an interesting experience.
GREAT tour and we saw a lot, but the lack of urgency in getting us back to our ship on time was criminal...The tour FAILED to meet its responsibility to get us back to the ship on time. We were so late that the ship had removed us from the manifest and was in the process of pulling in the gangplank. This was after we specifically told Viator on booking, the Twin Island Excursion TIE representative at the port and our guide Lucas that it was IMPERATIVE that we be back by 1400, for a 1430 boarding. Lucas was incapable of getting to the port parking lot 1/3 mi from the ship before 1432 showing his total disregard of the gravity of the situation--even though we pointed it to out to him THROUGHOUT the tour. Had we not been able to talk our way back onto the ship and missed the ship, it would have cost Viator and TIE thousands of dollars to accomodate the four of us and fly us back to FLL--and we would have missed two full days of our cruise. Needless to say: I AM VERY UNHAPPY!!
Our guide was Nell. Nell was awesome!! Very nice and welcoming. Did a great job of explaining the entire island and gave us flexibility as far as where and how long we stopped at places since there were only 4 of us on the tour. Highly recommend Twin Island Excursions through Viator and ask for Nell!
This was a very good learning experience with the history of the island. We also enjoyed the beach. It was relaxing and our driver was great and very informative.
