Really good tour guide told us details about Romans and Pompeii we would not appreciate if we did not go ourselves. Very interesting history and sufficient time to see key parts of the ruins. Lunch and drink included was good. For the Vesuvius climb they take you up to 1000m by bus then you do the final 280metres by walking, was manageable and worth it for the views!

This is an exhausting day with a lot of walking but would not have missed it. Our guides and driver were excellent especially the young lady who accompanied us around Pompeii. Excellent knowledge and very accommodating to any questions. Lunch was good although was not really needed in our opinion. The hike to the top of Vesuvius was not for the faint hearted and this must be taken into consideration if you are thinking of doing it but the views at the top are breathtaking. Heat was intense but it is August so we were prepared. Overall a great day.

Couldn't recommend this tour enough. Loads of communication from the company prior to the day of the tour. Mt Vesuvius is not an easy walk, it's steep, but a steady pace and abit of determination will get you up there - It's worth it! Also, take your own water. Lunch was good, choice of pizza, lasagne or spaghetti, all with a drink. Then an awesome tour around Pompeii. Elisa was so informative, the site is so big and there is only so much you can see in a half day, but she made us want to go back and learn more about this amazing place. (Be aware you need a tour guide because there are no signs telling you what you are looking at). Excellent guys, thank you!

Very well organised. We stayed in Naples just to do this tour. Start wasn't stupidly early. So it didn't feel like a very long day. Friendly and funny tour guide. Lovely lunch inbetween whilst having a deserved rest. There is hardly any shade so wear a hat and plenty of suncream. The hardest part was walking up vesuvious, relentless climb in the heat. Worth it for the views at the top.

Good trip. A lot of hopping to and from different buses though so we had a lot of different guides and drivers. Was also told that the Pompeii body casts were at the museum which I went to the next day and there were none. Would have been nice to have an update or the location. A google search says there's another part of Pompeii where they are. Other than that, was good for what I paid.

I booked this excursion as a birthday trip for my husband. The tour company was very responsive and communicative leading up to the tour. It did become a little disorganized since they intermingled us with other groups at the beginning and split us half way through. Lunch was delicious. A pair of sneakers is handy to go up vesuvius since it is a decent hike to the the top.

Off the Oasis of the Seas or the tour. The tour guides and amenities were excellent. Vesuvius was as expected a tough climb due to the loose soil and gravel, worth the climb. View from the top outstanding. Having been to Pompeii before, I expected to see more than the section provided for the many tours involved. Extremely crowded. July is not the time to visit .

We enjoyed the tour very much, the two sites we had longed to visit. I would recommend the tour, however the tour group was too large (over 40) which made it difficult to hear the tour guide. Also I and some others lost the audio portion due to faulty equipment. Investing in better audio would be a plus while viewing the sites. On the bus it was impossible to hear the guide, who had a pronounced accent which made it harder to understand what she was saying. Nice tour but needs some adjustments.

What an amazing experience! We were picked up online, albeit one of the first and it did end up taking almost 90 minutes to get to Pompeii due to many spots to get other guests. Our tour guide Francesca was amazing. Funny and engaging with a lot of information to provide for guests. Plenty of time to explore by ourselves at main areas and then a beautiful lunch before being taken to amount Vesuvius. My only complaint was that we only got 70 minutes to go up to the crater and back, allowing only 15 minutes at the top, which felt a bit rushed. 90 minutes would have been better

The trip ran smoothly from start to finish. We were picked up on time and went straight to Pompeii where we met our English speaking guide, Maria. She was very knowledgeable and very funny. Thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour, and felt we saw everything we needed to. Following this we were taken to a local restaurant, where we had a choice of 4 dishes, namely pizza margarita, spaghetti Bolognese, macaroni or tuna and mozzarella salad, and a choice of cold drink. We had pizza and salad, and shared them. They were very filling and delicious. Following this we were taken to mount Vesuvius. The climb up to it was a little hard going, but we'll worth the effort. The views were amazing too. Unfortunately it started to rain as we descended, but luckily had taken raincoats, so wasn't too bad. We were then taken back to our hotel/meeting point. The trip took a good 8 hours, and we felt it was worth every penny

Our tour guide Francesca was amazing, she made sure everyone was comfortable with what we were doing. We made great time the whole trip thanks to the great bus driver, Francesco. The hike to Mt Vesuvius was great a bit challenging but definitely doable. The view was amazing and the little shop at the top was very cute. The lunch was surprisingly nice and was a very decent size. The Pompeii part of the tour was also great, Francesca, made it fun and humorous while informative. Unfortunately it rained (not their fault at all obviously) and Francesca was very accommodating and made sure everyone was happy to leave before leaving the site. Super good trip very glad I choose this company.

Our tour was just what I was hoping for. It was very informative and because of the ear pieces, I could hear everything. Our guide was very funny and very knowledgeable of Pompeii.. Only regret is I would've loved to have learned more.. Pompeii is so big.. The pizza lunch was AMAZING and unexpectedly very large.. I really wanted to finish it, but we were about to climb Mt. Vesuvius. Which was also a treat.. Unfortunately it was a bit chilly (cleared up after we left, of course) but we still made it to the top and was still very enjoyable. Highly recommend this touring company.

I found this tour very educational, the tour guides knew their history and we're very engaging. My guide's English skills was excellent so I had no problems understanding her. I would definitely recommend this tour.

I cannot recommend this tour enough! Our guide Elisa is not only an expert at what she does but also a person with true passion about history! Only complaint is that the tour starts quite late (10:30), so by the time you're climbing up Vesuvius the heat is really hard to manage. Be prepared for a steep hike on dark volcanic sand that gets more difficult on the way down. Nevertheless, it is simply unmissable!

We did this excursion from a cruise ship stopover and were very happy with what we saw in one not-too-hectic day. Transportation was timely and non-stressful. Gino did an excellent job of explaining the history of Pompeii and describing the ruins. I was floored by the pizza lunch, which provided a plentiful amount of pizza and drink of choice, including wine or beer. Mt. Vesuvius was stupendous, although you have to be fit to make it up the mountain. I thought the value of this excursion was excellent for what we experienced.

My friend an i did the combined Pompeii and Vesuvius daytrip from Naples. We both enjoyed it and it is important to note this is a very popular and busy location so we could see why it was important to be punctual and meetup where the guide said during the tours. The walk up to the rim of Vesuvius does require a good level of fitness and footwear!

We were collected from our hotel on time and greeted cheerfully. We collected other people on the way then arrived at Pompeii around 11:00am. Our tour guide led us around the site for 2 hours, spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable about the site and engaged really well with the whole group. Pizza lunch was very nice and served promptly. We were very impressed with the organisation of the tour - the group split after Pompeii and went onto different places. This was handled very well and everyone knew where they were to go. We then travelled on to Vesuvius and walked up to the crater. There was just enough time to get up, take some photos, visit the small shops and walk back down again. The drivers were cheerful and experienced. We both had a wonderful day out, thank you!

A good trip with an impressive guide around Pompeii. However; I would personally prefer to organise both trips myself, once based in Naples, as the weather conditions are paramount when visiting Mt. Vesuvius

Picked up promptly at the cruise dock by bus. Great visit in Pompeii with knowledgeable guide. Trip to Mt. Vesuvius was not possible because of a landslide blocking paths. Option was given to return with a refund for that portion or continue on to Sorrento after lunch. We chose this option and spent a great time there visiting shops and the coast.

Our ship was late getting into the port. the tour company did not leave without us, they waited which was a big plus for all of us. the tour guide for Pomeii was excellent. the lunch was just ok. the bus ride to Vesuvius was interesting as there was some confusion__not sure what it was but we made it there and back in time for the ships departure.

The pick up and drop off from hotel were the best we had our whole vacation. Made the experience easy! Mt. Vesuvius was a little overrated and not worth the hike up. Pompeii was great and I wish I could have seen more. Retrospectively, I would have booked a longer Pompeii tour and skipped Vesuvius.
