Ben was a great guide to our Luberon day trip in the third week of March. He picked us up at 8 am and off we drove to the natural park which is about an hour from Marseille. He took initiative and turned to extremely scenic country roads along the way wherever and whenever possible. Although the trees were not in full blossom, the weather was excellent. Along the way, Ben not only provided information on the history of the area, but also gave us information on the geography, including the terroir for the different kinds of wine produced, and many other things such as the difference between lavender and lavandine. The trip consisted of visits to Lourmarin (45 min, where we had our morning coffee), Roussillon (1 hr, where there was a small market and you could also take a short hike to the Ochre trails), Gordes (1 hr 15, where we had lunch), Fountaine-de-Vaucluse (1 hr, where you could take a walk along the source of the spring), L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (1 hr 10 min, where you could also see the only church in France with Liberty, Equality, Fraternity written on its facade). It was about 5:10 pm when we were back in Marseille. Highly recommended tour and guide.

Amazing trip and a beautiful day through the small villages. Our guide stopped to see some of the lavender fields at our expressed interest. Our guide was also very attentive, kind, and informative. Great day trip... small shops, quaint villages, antiques and flea market, beautiful views.

A very enjoyable tour overall visiting a number of hilltop villages, very picturesque and beautiful views. It was a small group tour, 6 people plus the guide, who was very knowledgeable, approachable and spoke excellent English. We had sufficient time in each location, except perhaps where we had lunch as there was really only enough time to have lunch, another half hour on the lunch stop would have been good. Pick up was on time. Only thing I would say is I thought it was a little expensive for what it was, but if you're happy with the price I would certainly recommend it.

Our guide arrived punctually at the pick-up point. She explained where we going and what we would see at Isle-sur-la Sorgue, the Lavender Museum, Gordes, Roussillon and Lourmarin. Her English was good and she would answer any question posed during the day. At every location she would drop us off, allowing us time to explore at our own pace, and then she would pick us up at a pre-arranged time. We had started early, 8am on a Sunday, to visit the market at Sorgue. Both the antique and produce markets were interesting as well as the many water wheels on the water channels running through the town. Our tip is to amble through the antique and bric-a-brac markets and then go to the Tourist Office where you can get a free local map which shows a scenic walking tour of the town. We only discovered this by chance and managed only part of the route. Gordes is a small picturesque village perched on a cliff. We stopped just outside at a viewpoint to take pictures. Our tip is to buy a take away sandwich from the shop at the entrance to the village you can eat it at the tables outside the shop. The ochre quarry at Rousillon is spectacular, which our guide recommended, and you will have just enough time to do the short Ochre Trail. The whole day was excellent.

Great trip and Cedric was a great guide - good humoured and unflappable despite having to cope with horrendous traffic jams resulting from a forest fire, and having to rearrange our schedule. He really went the extra mile for us - literally - to make sure we were all happy! Thank you cedric for a great day.
