Nesta excursão de dia inteiro saindo de Londres, descubra com o guia os mitos e lendas do Rei Arthur e veja alguns dos locais mais famosos e curiosos da Inglaterra. Saindo de Londres, vá para o oeste passando pela bela zona rural até o local onde ficava o antigo Reino de Wessex.

A primeira parada é em Winchester, onde você poderá entrar no Grande Salão, construído entre 1222 e 1235. Lá dentro, veja o que muitas pessoas acreditam ser a Távola Redonda original do Rei Arthur. Nos tempos medievais, o escritor e o autor de Le Morte D'Arthur, Sir Thomas Mallory, jurou por sua autenticidade e identificou Winchester como o local de Camelot do Rei Artur.

Depois disso, visite um dos locais mais misteriosos da Terra, o pré-histórico e mundialmente famoso monumento de pedra conhecido como Stonehenge. A paisagem é repleta de tumbas e círculos de pedra, cada um com milhares de anos e cheios de mistérios, mas o Stonehenge se destaca entre todos. Localizado na planície de Salisbury e mantendo seus 5.000 anos de história em segredo, o Stonehenge recebeu diversas descrições, de relógio astronômico a local de adoração ou sepultura. O guia explicará o que se sabe hoje em dia e revelará as teorias que são discutidas há séculos. Pense nessas teorias enquanto caminha pelas pedras e admira as vistas panorâmicas.

Sua excursão continua até a pequena cidade de Glastonbury, o suposto lar da misteriosa Ilha de Avalon, onde, de acordo com a lenda, a espada do Rei Arthur foi forjada. Foi aqui que, após a Batalha de Camlann, o Rei Artur foi ferido gravemente e morreu. Pare na famosa Glastonbury Tor (uma colina) e veja as ruínas da igreja de São Miguel. Depois disso, desça para os Jardins Chalice Well para aprender uma lenda mais antiga, sobre o cálice que Jesus Cristo usou durante a Última Ceia. This rating has nothing to do with the driver/tour guide who was wonderful, but the whole trip. It is a very long day. Most of it driving. Stonehenge is wonderful. I understand why they add on other places since it is a good distance away, but you could just leave off the Avebury stop and spend more time in Glastonbury. I really wanted to stay there longer in fact all the people on the tour except 2 wanted to just stay there. The thing that really irritated me was the two who wanted to go on to Avebury (for the whole 30 mins stop) stayed on the tour van REALLY... This would have been a wonderful trip with just the two stops. I really felt rushed at the stops since the weather was horrible and the traffic was horrible and it was so long.

I've always wanted to go to these amazing sites and I finally got the chance and what made it even more enjoyable was our lovely guide Jose ! He was very informative and funny as well his jokes were hilarious and he was very helpful ! The sites were fascinating! it was an incredible trip that I would definitely reccomend!

The tour guide and driver were great but we didn't get to spend much time at each thing. We almost missed the last stop. I think out of all the stops maybe not stop at the Chalice Gardens....Stonehenge was amazing and I truly enjoyed the Abbey. I just wish we had more time in Winchester. But all in all it was a great day!

We had the most amazing,comfortable guide in our entire life traveling. Oliver was extremely knowledgable as well as flexible as to the groups desires. We had scheduled another event immediately after and to be sure we arrived, he walked us to the venue! International Friends were wonderful.

Our tour guide was so fun and knowledgeable. The small group made the experience feel more relaxed. It might cost a little more, but well worth it.

We had a marvelous tour guide named Tony. He was so much fun and hope to see him next time we come to the UK. He was full of information and you only had to ask to get him to tell you more if you were interested. Sad that Avebury was taken off the tour. Winchester was okay but it was just a brief stop to see a table that was thought to be King Arthur's round table but it's not. I loved Glastonbury! Beautiful area with the Chalice Well, gardens, spring, possible burial place of Arthur and Guinevere and Glastonbury Tor. I loved going into the shops down the street and buying crystals. This was one place that had a multitude of things to see and do that was well worth the time and money. I wish we could have stayed longer. Stonehenge is always great but not this time. It was so cold and windy I could barely walk around the stones once. Luckily I had already done another tour that week when it was nice and warm.
