Very well organized. Overcame a few glitches, such as our hotel pickup van was changed last minute due to breakdown. Tour guides were excellent. Restaurant for lunch was acceptable.

We started out very early and were picked up at 6am outside our airbnb accommodation- which was great as it wasn't a hotel. After collecting other travellers, we got to the mine first at 7.15am and were the first group through the doors. The tour guide was provided by the mines and very knowledgeable. I'm a geologist and couldn't fault what she told us. This lasted 3 hours in the mine, and we then travelled for about an hour to Auschwitz. We then had an hour lunch break upon arrival, and were able to get food in the restaurant and look at the bookshop. Our tour guide was provided by the museum, and she was also highly knowledgeable and explained everything in exactly the right tone, helping us to appreciate the horrific events at the site. The tour at Auschwitz I lasted for 1.5 to 2 hours, and then we relocated by bus to Auschwitz II/Birkenau where the same guide showed us around. At this site it was more walking than talking so you could take in the vastness of the site. In terms of the operator, Poland Active's contribution, they provide a driver and a guide, though I would say the guide was more of a facilitator. The guide was welcoming and would take us from the bus to the museums and organised everyone, but doesn't come round with you. Overall a very well timed and well organised day, and I would definitely recommend this tour to others. Please be aware that there is a lot of walking on this tour (8 miles on my fitbit). If you are not so good on your feet perhaps consider the half day tours instead to break it up. Ground at both sites is uneven and rocky, and one person did trip over. I'd also advise to bring plenty of water and some snacks. You cannot eat in any of the sites, but it will just mean you are prepared for the long day.

Salt mine was incredibly interesting and way better than expected (tour guide is from salt mine, not this company). Auschwitz and Birkenau were incredibly deep and the tour guide was fantastic sharing tons of facts in easy to understand English. The tour company arrived when promised to pick me up and met the timeline accordingly. At Auschwitz, barely waited in any lines and at both sites, tickets were prearranged to save time. Only negative, the lunch situation was strange and left us little time to eat and poor food choice, but felt like we didn't have to eat at the museum and could have easily stopped along way for "better", cheaper food...i.e. McDonalds.

This is an incredible tour. The tour guides were excellent and thoroughly knowledgeable. We were picked up right on time. The only two things that could be improved were the length of time we had to wait for lunch and the size of the bus. My son is 6'4" and could barely fit in the "bus". It made for a very long and uncomfortable ride. Also, we were picked up from our hotel at 7:15am and we didn't eat until after 3pm. Not a great thing for a growing 16 year old boy! Overall, it was a great day but I would let people know in the future that you need to bring your own food to eat on the bus before getting to your very late lunch.

Worth a visit to Auschwitz -Birkenau and Wieliczka salt mine... however, have to pack your own lunch as there’s not much time for lunch break

Overall it was a nice day. It was obviously very special and informative. We got picked up by taxi very early then to a bus which was well air conditioned thankfully. The day ran smoothly but was a little rushed with short breaks. Would recommend as was well ran and good value for money.

The whole experience was very sobering but an experience that I would recommend to my friends. It was the main reason for the trip

A very Somber and eye opening experience the key fact they will stay with me is Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it no one should ever forget and this place should be there for all generations nationalities and religions to see and use this as a warning for future generations

We were picked up outside our hotel by a small AC minivan. This is NOT a personal tour though. You will be thrown into a larger group at Auschwitz with one of their tour guides. It’s a very long day till 5 or 7 pm I can’t remember, but be sure to bring a light jacket for the salt mine!

My Auschwitz/Salt Mine tour was generally enjoyable. Our driver, Lucas, was great and very accommodating. The Salt Mine was an incredible experience that I would recommend to all. Auschwitz was a truly heartbreaking and humbling experience, but again an experience that I would recommend everyone to take part in once in their life. The only complaints that I have are about my tour guides and the time management. While the Salt Mine tour guide wasn’t as bad as my Auschwitz tour guide, she was very hard to understand. Being a Polish native, her English was very good, but she spoke so softly, quickly, and mumbled so much that I literally was not able to retain any of the information that was relayed to me. Luckily there were a lot of things to look at and read so I didn’t have to rely solely on her. The Auschwitz guide was a different story. Obviously being a Polish native he was going to have a Polish accent, which I completely understand, but the accent was so thick and he, too, spoke so rapidly and mumbled SO much that I could not understand anything there either. The headsets at Auschwitz were also a hassle, I had the volume up all the way and still had to press the headphones into my ears to hear anything. I’m pretty disappointed in the guides, but it didn’t keep me from enjoying the experiences. I wish I remembered the guides’ names. Time management was also irritating. Our salt mine tour ended around noon, but our concentration camp tour didn’t start until 4, which left us a ton of time to kill. Fortunately, people on my tour wanted to stop for lunch, so we did, but the original plan was just to go sit at a auschwitz until it was time for our tour. We didn’t get back until Kraków until 10PM, which could have been 7 or 8 if the tour was organized more efficiently. Would definitely go back to both places, just probably not through this tour.

Very interesting tours, both of them led by friendly and knowledgable guides! Also, our driver, Tomasz, drove us safely and was very helpful! As for the sights, they are not to be missed both are unique!

Auschwitz - Birkenau was very moving. It is certainly a place everyone should see. The Wieliczka Salt Mine is amazing. I couldn't figure out what was so great about a salt mine until I went through it. The carvings and sculptures are amazing. The mine was in continuous operation for many centuries.
