Deixe seu hotel no centro Jerusalém em um ônibus com ar-condicionado e siga ao leste, em direção a Jericó. Enquanto viaja pelo deserto de Judá, passe pela Estalagem do Bom Samaritano, o local associado à famosa parábola da Bíblia.
Pare na placa que indica o nível do mar e admire as vistas do Vale do Jordão, o local onde acredita-se que Jesus foi batizado; e o oásis de Jericó, enquanto desce em direção à cidade mais antiga e continuamente povoada do mundo. Citada no Antigo e no Novo Testamento, Jericó é, talvez, mais conhecida pela história bíblica da queda de suas muralhas ao som de trombetas do exército israelense e pelo lugar onde acredita-se que Jesus retornou após 40 dias no deserto.
Admire as vistas do Monte das Tentações, a colina escarpada que se eleva acima da cidade, e veja o Monte e a fonte de Eliseu, a fonte natural mencionada na Bíblia. Além disso, observe o sicômoro que, de acordo com a Bíblia, foi escalado por Zaqueu para que pudesse ver Jesus maias claramente quando entrasse na cidade.
Pare para o almoço (por conta do visitante) em um restaurante em Jericó ou mais tarde, ao visitar Belém, dependendo dos horários.
Depois de explorar Jericó, relaxe em seu passeio de ônibus a Belém, que acredita-se ser o local de nascimento de Jesus. Na chegada, caminhe ao redor da Manger Square e entre na Igreja da Natividade para ver a Gruta da Natividade, onde uma estrela marca o local de nascimento de Jesus. Em seguida, visite a Igreja de Santa Catarina, onde São Jerônimo traduziu a Bíblia do hebraico para o latim.
Deixe Belém e veja o Campo dos Pastores, onde, segundo a Bíblia, o anjo do Senhor apareceu aos pastores para lhes contar sobre o nascimento de Jesus. Veja a igreja moderna e em formato de tenda construída no local e retorne a Jerusalém, onde termina sua excursão com o desembarque no hotel.

Both Bethlehem and Jericho are worthwhile seeing. The day trip started by visiting Bethlehem first. We saw the field where the shepherds heard the news of Jesus birth from the angels, and then went to the grotto where Jesus is meant to be born. To see the actual place with the marble slab and star, was impossible as there were very long lines waiting, so our lovely guide George he's awesome and so passionate about the bible explained that Jesus could have been born anywhere in this grotto, not just that particular spot. I was happy with just being here and not having to wait in line for 3 hours. The church was nice too. I recommend George to be your guide. The only thing I was a wee bit disappointed in is that they went first to a gift shop, then to the grotto. Had they got us into the grotto first we might have had more chances to see the actual place, and then go to the gift shop after that. But overall, this was still a great day. Jericho was fantastic, and left me a good impression. Even though I nearly fainted from the heat, 38 but felt like 42 C the excavation sites were very interesting, and we had a fabulous buffet lunch and very friendly hosts in the temptation restaurant. I even got to ride a camel and ate their delicious dates. They have a very nice shop downstairs with skin care products, shampoo etc from dead sea minerals.

I take many tours but this one was by far the worst ever! The pick up is awful. We are transferred from bus to bus and waiting for people from other buses. We went to Bethlehem, saw Nativity Church but never saw Manager Square which was in the brochure. But the guide made sure to take us to a souvenir shop rather than take the time to see the sights. Then we went to Jericho, literally viewed an old Sycamore tree, boarded the bus again and walked on a pile of dirt that was being excavated. The guide left us at a gift shop again and disappeared. He wouldn't let us take the cable car for which we all would have paid. There was a movie about the excavation but we never saw it. He deserted us when we returned to Jerasulem and left us to the bus driver. Again we had to transfer people from one bus to another and wait for people from other buses. It was a total waste of a day basically sitting on a bus.
