Ilha Grande Aventura Combo: o helicóptero, tirolesa e Excursão Lava

The tours were excellent, however the booking scheduled through Viator was screwed up in scheduling and pickup. We had to make 2 trips to Hilo, 1 1/2 hours one way. Our tour through the Volcano National Park took place after dark.

It is quite a lovely drive from Kona to Hilo where all of these activities take place. We had a wonderful tour guide that was very knowledgeable about the island facts and folklore. HOWEVER, when we arrived for the zipline they physically weighed each of us to make sure we were not over the limit. When I spoke to the company originally, the guy failed to mention the "limit" part and that it could keep anyone of us from being able to participate. One of our party was "over the limit by 6 lbs" and they would not let him participate. The worst part was that the woman doing the check in made a big deal about it, making sure that everyone in the line could hear. HOW EMBARRASSING! She could have just as easily asked him to step to the side for a moment and then quietly discussed the issue. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We will NEVER use this company again through VIATOR! Then after a couple of us did do the zip line it was time for the helicopter ride. Again they weighed us at the airport and, low and behold, the scale showed that same person 6 lbs LESS than the other scale! He should have been able to do the zip line! But we had to pay extra for a larger space on the helicopter and were only to have four guests in it. We paid the extra and STILL had a 5th person! Not only did the company get extra money from us, they crowded another person onto the tour which they supposedly couldn't fit because of weight limitations! Ridiculous! The Lava tour was fine. It's hard to screw up a walking tour. Overall advise, find a different tour company!

The whole event was great, especially with Chris as a guide. He was very knowledgeable about everything and was happy to show us around town when our events ended a little early. Ziplinging crew was friendly, the helicopter ride was amazing and the volcano park tour was impressive despite lots of areas still closed from the recent activity. Thanks for a great adventure tour.

Unfortunately due to weather the helicopter portion of our tour was cancelled and there was heavy fog which prevented us from seeing the glow or flow of lava. That being said, the zipline was an amazing experience, the staff were very helpful, skilled, and knowledgable. Marcus, our guide, was also knowledgable and had an engaging personality. He answered all of our questions and knew the history real and mythology, geology, and botany of the island. We enjoyed our time at Volcano National Park and Marcus's efforts to fill in for the cancelled helicopter ride. Thank you for helping make our time on the Big Island memorable.

Great day out, we were lucky enough to be on a quiet day, so we basically had a private tour for the price of a group tour. The guide was full of facts and took us to a few extra locations as we had so much time. Even the scheduled activities were worth it. The Zip lines were fun, though the scenery not as I imagined it. It's around the edge of the rainforest it feels. But the sights were fantastic anyway. The food at the winery was AMAZING. Seeing the volcanoes in daytime was amazing but at night it is something else entirely! You're probably only in Hawaii once, so we didn't hold back.

Truly a great experience. Well worth the money. Our guide was so knowledgable about everything Hawaiin. Van was comfortable and the a/c cold !
