Pedway Explorers Walking Tour

Convene with your guide in the lobby of downtown Chicago’s Hyatt Regency Hotel at 1:00pm sharp. This 2.5-hour morning tour will have you trekking all over the Loop. After a brief introduction, your guide will lead you immediately to the Pedway: an extraordinary subterranean network of tunnels, concourses, and other passageways. It’s a unique way to see the city’s sights.

Begin your 2-mile excursion at the famous Aqua building, where you’ll hear stories about Chicago’s eco-friendly status and embrace of the LEED certification program. After brief stops in the Aon and Prudential buildings, you’ll experience the exciting hubbub of Millennium Station.

After that, it’s on to the Chicago Cultural Center, home to the world’s largest Tiffany dome. Visit Macy’s next, itself an architectural landmark, before heading to the Daley Center, which is replete with stories about Chicago’s past and present. Next, you’ll see City Hall before venturing to the stunning State of Illinois Building.

As you go, you’ll be entertained with stories about Chicago history and popular culture, and your guide will invite you to take part in fun trivia competitions, too. A restroom and snack break is also included in the tour schedule.
