This is a full and fun feature packed tour with a bit of everything! Our Tour started with a visit to the caves. It was fascinating and a welcome break from the hot sun :) . Next we were taken to Mt Etna, which for me was the main reason for visiting Catania. I was not disappointed by this is any way! We spent around two hours there, but quite frankly I could have stayed up there for the whole week. After this we were taken to a few other places on the way to Taormina. This included a Bee / Honey Factory and several stops to admire the islands and views along the way. Taormina was equally stunning. Generally town visits are not my thing as i prefer hiking, but never the less was a Taormina is incredible. What really set this Tour above others that I have been on was our Guide. Giulia was fantastic! For me this tour was not just a break, but an education. A bit of history and a bit of science. Giulia described so many things with clarity , detail , and enthusiasm. Best Tour Guide ever!

We did this as a family of 5 - my youngest being 5 years old. This tour had everything and we never felt bored or that there was too long in each place. A highlight is the visit to Taormina city - so good. Nando our guide was fantastic. So informative and spoke very good english. An excellent way to see Mt Etna and Taormina.

We had a full-day tour of Etna and Taormina with Danilo (Etna Tribe tours). He was very knowledgeable about volcanology and the Etna area; not quite as informative about Taormina. The sights were amazing around the mountain - be prepared to walk on loose lava-stone paths and with moderate elevation (unless you opt for the cable car). The time in Taormina could have been much longer because it is such a beautiful destination. The tour includes a short excursion into a "lava cave" which could have been skipped.

Our full day trip on 15.10.2018 Etna and Taormina was excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable, cheerful and caring, "Crazy Driver". She told a lot of interesting details about the history of Catania, Etna, Taormina and Sicily. She was very concerned about her group and she was very helpful. Unfortunately, the weather at the Etna peak was foggy, so we left without great views down to sea and valleys. The visit to Vulcanic cave was interesting and the sightseeingtour in the sunny Taormina was great and good value for money.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We learned more about Mt. Etnea from him, then we did on Etna.

This is a MUST do tour. Etna Tribe and Simone were absolutely awesome. The tour was perfect... getting to go up Mt. Etna, sampling the food in Zafferana and visiting the shops/site in Taormina. We got to see a lot of the best sites in eastern Sicily. Simone was one of the best guides too. Very friendly, full of real interesting information and an excellent driver. He looks out for everyone and anticipates what is needed. For those considering this, to tour takes you by 9-passenger minibus to the excursion center on Mt. Etna. From there we had the option to ride the cable car which is actually a ski lift gondola and then take a 4x4 bus to about 2900M. You will not go all the way to the top of Mt. Etna, but you will get to see and go down into one of the larger craters on the east side of the mountain. The wind at the top of Mt. Etna is very strong, bring layers to be prepared. For Taormina, we found an open restaurant to have late lunch but didn't save enough time to buy tickets for the Greek Theatre which others said was worth the ticket price. Taormina is later in the day, so you may need to plan on a snack or there is a chance to eat when you arrive at the excursion center on Mt. Etna. I hope this helps. Again, I highly recommend this tour! Enjoy.
