O Grande Palácio
Todos os visitantes de Bangcoc devem ver os magníficos edifícios dentro do complexo do Grande Palácio para terem uma sensação da grandeza estilo arquitetônico. Desde a fundação de Bangcoc como capital pelo Rei Rama I, o Grande Palácio é o maior símbolo arquitetônico da família real tailandesa. Na atualidade, a Família Real reside no Palácio de Chitralada, enquanto o Grande Palácio é usado para fins cerimoniais. Os principais edifícios dentro do complexo do Grande Palácio foram construídos para o Rei Rama V, que foi o primeiro rei tailandês a viajar para a Europa.
Wat Trai Mit
Você já viu cinco toneladas e meia de ouro? Wat Trai Mit, próximo à estação ferroviária de Bangcoc em Hua Lamphong, é o lar do famoso Buda de Ouro com 3 metros de altura.
Acredita-se que o Buda de Ouro tenha de 700 a 800 anos de idade, uma vez que está na atitude Mara, típica da era de Sukhothai. Ele foi instalado em Wat Phrayakrai na área de Yannawa de Bangcoc durante o reinado do Rei Rama III, onde ficou até 1931.
Wat Pho
Este é possivelmente o templo mais interessante da Tailândia, pois combina história, ciência médica e é um centro de meditação e treinamento em massagem tradicional. Seu nome oficial é Wat Phrachetuphon Vimon Mangkararam Ratchaworamahawihan, embora geralmente seja chamado de Wat Po. Fundado no século XVI, Wat Pho é famoso pelo Buda dourado deitado que mede 46 metros e tem pés cravejados de madrepérola. Essa é a principal atração que leva visitantes ao templo. Em tempos mais modernos, Wat Pho ganhou reconhecimento internacional como um centro de meditação e massagem tailandesa tradicional, que é praticada e ensinada aqui.

Oi was fantastic! She had so much knowledge on all the temples and purchased water and fresh towels for us throughout the day. The only thing we had an issue with was that the time show on our ticket was incorrect. We were told to meet in our hotel lobby at 1:30 PM and we got a call at 8:30 AM saying they were here to pick up us! It wasn't a big issue for us, we just had to get ready really quickly. Also, the tour was closer to 6 hours instead of the advertised 4 hours, but we learned a lot! I highly recommend this tour and if you have a chance to choose a tour guide, choose Oi!

Our first trip in Bangkok with a very early start , we only had about 4 hours sleep from flying very late the previous night. A bit disappointing the trip did not pick us up from our hotel the Anantara especially when it was only our guide Ui and a driver. This caused us to have to take a taxi to the Sheraton which took about half an hour in morning traffic. That said Ui was a fantastic guide and it truly was a personal tour . Not having been in Bangkok before the heat and crowds were quite daunting and we would have given up a lot earlier had we not had Ui to lead us through. In addition this was an education , we were often asked questions on what we had been told . I think we passed the exam . We did learn an awful lot about Thai culture and Bangkok in a morning . That is just what we were seeking and although tired at the end happy to soak in the hotel pool we had a very personal and enjoyable first Bangkok experience.

Private tour, Guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Grand Palace itself was a beauty in itself with endless temples, great architectural designs and more.

Good tour of two of Bangkok's must-sees, and hotel pickup and drop-off well arranged. Saw all the highlights of the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, home to the reclining gold buddha. Take a hat and sunscreen as large parts of the palace compound tour are outside. Large crowds at the palace especially, but only to be expected!
